Food Review @ K.Cook Korean BBQ

Exams are over, so what better way to celebrate than having a great BBQ meal? That was why we ended up at K.Cook Korean BBQ at Orchard Gateway for a celebratory dinner.

Since it is an once-in-a-while treat where we get to eat so much MEAT for one meal, we got two plates of pork belly, spicy chicken, marinated chicken and bacon for both of us!

Along with the meat, we took some cooked side dishes as well. They have quite an offering of cooked side dishes like Korean pancakes, chicken wings, hot and spicy rice cake (tteokbokki), noodles, rice and others. Personally, I love their Korean pancakes. They are served warm and slightly crispy on the outside. It goes well with the barbequed meat.

On top of meat and cooked dishes, there are of course, the accompanying vegetables such as cabbages, mushroom and yes, KIMCHI! We only took some since we have small appetites. In the event if you do get thirsty from eating so much meat, the price which you are paying for the buffet includes mineral water and soft drinks too. However, you would have to pay additional charges if you want to order alcohol (Soju, Rice Wine etc.).

So you may still be wondering, how was the overall experience at K.Cook Korean BBQ? I like how they have a wide offering of meat (beef, pork, chicken...) and I like their cooked dishes as well. The 2hours dining time was more than sufficient for us to stuff ourselves full. Only areas which I thought they could have done better would be their customer service. It may be due to newly trained staff since it seemed that the staff who we asked to lower/ relight the fire for the bbq pan, did not know how to lower the fire and he could not relight the flame either till another staff came over. Unfortunately, no one came over to help us with our charred pan either so our meat looked pretty unappealing after the 1st round of BBQ.

At the end of the day, I guess it is still worth a visit since K.Cook has a wide offering of meat and side dishes. If you need any help with the pan, perhaps you would have better luck than us depending on the branch you visit.

Now, on to the next Korean BBQ Place to explore! Till then.
