Food Review @ Hyde&Co.
Recently, I went on a food trip with my friend around our tiny island. Our first stop led us to Hyde&Co. which is located at North Bridge Road.
We originally wanted to try some of the items from the brunch menu, but we were too early. Just to make sure you could get what you want to order, do check the timing when brunch/ dinner items are available.
To start off the meal, we called for an appetiser - The Classic Bruschetta for $7.
This is a dish where tomato concasse is tossed with garlic, onions, cilantro in balsamic, served on toasted baguette. The toast is a tiny tad spicy for me and it is a little sour too. For me, it is a great appetiser to kick start one's appetite before a meal.
We followed up with Pulled Pork Man Tou for $12.
This is my favourite dish out of everything from Hyde&Co. so far. Each man tou contains slowed cooked pulled pork in homemade bbq sauce and slaw. If I have to use one word to describe the taste, it would be "AWESOME"! The man tou is crispy and the pulled pork is flavourful due to the sauce. This is definitely a must try!
Lastly, we ordered their SG50 creation - Pulut Hitam Waffle for $14.
As far as I know, this is only available in August. Personally, this is one waffle with unique flavour. I like eating Pulut Hitam by itself. To be honest, I have expected more out of this combination but it just fell rather flat for me. So... it is probably a 3/5 for me if I have to rate it.
I would love to head back for a second visit just to try out their brunch and dinner items. Just gotta find the time and the way there again! I would recommend you to give them a try too if you like brunch!
