Eat & Eat at Hongdae
Hello, it is the weekends again! I am finally back to share more about my explorations around Seoul. This time, let's have a look At Hongdae! To get there, simply take the dark green line to Hongik University Station.
As we set off for Hongdae in the morning, our very first stop has to be somewhere which serves brunch and we settled for Cafe Organic. We left the subway station through Exit 8 and although we googled for the directions, it seemed like there was some sort of changes to the shops there.
Anyhow, we stumbled around till we found the cafe sitting in the middle of the road. The cafe opens at 11am and do note that everyone has to purchase a set of brunch each. That means that you would not be able to share one set of brunch with your friend. It is a rather strange concept for me since I only encountered this kind of situation in Korea.
We headed for the 2nd floor where there is a better view. If you need free wifi, you could access the Internet here as well after you place your orders. We ordered a set of brunch each. Each set consists of some vegetables, an egg, bacon, sausage and 2 egg bread. Each set costs 15,000won.
Overall, I felt that it was a satisfying and filling meal. It would be great if we could share a set so I could have some leftover stomach space for... more food later.
After our brunch, we decided to go to Thanks Nature Cafe to see sheeps. Yes, you read that right! Sheeps! Meh Meh~
From Exit 9 of Hongik University station, walk up the street towards Hongik University. Along the way, you should be able to spot Cafe Cantata on your left, so keep an eye out for the cafe. Once you are there, head down the stairs to the basement for Thanks Nature Cafe.
I guess we were there just to see the sheeps and not for the food, especially after out heavy brunch. Wait no further, here's the long awaited sheep! Meh meh~
Even though I was pretty full, there is ALWAYS space for desserts. Why not have an ice cream waffle right? Around the Hongdae area, we found a Beans Bins outlet.
Again, there is free wi-fi here as well. We ordered a waffle with 2 scoops of ice-cream which costs 11,500won.
The ice-cream made up for the dry waffles and perhaps, ask for no whipped cream next time round?
Other than the food places at Hongdae, I visited Daiso to get some Korean cutleries and shopped nearby for some sandals at 10,000won per pair.
If you love cafe hopping and shopping, do find some time to visit the Hongdae area! :)
